Pharrell: Places and Spaces I’ve Been

Pharrell: Places and Spaces I’ve Been

Pharrell known for all things Neptune and BBC makes his first step into literary world, with travel book “Places and Spaces I’ve Been”

Working with publishers Rizzoli and available for release this month, the book focuses on all things pop culture including contributions from some pretty major names.

“This is a coffee table style book which will feature conversations between Pharrell and some friends who have inspired him such as Anna Wintour, Nigo, Buzz Aldrin, Takashi Murakami, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Hans Zimmer, Ambra Medda, Chad & Shae. The rest of the book will contain photos which cover most of Pharrell’s career. The book will be released October 16th and will retail for $55. Multiple colored cover options will be available as well as a limited edition version ($250) which will include something special which we won’t unveil until closer to the release date.”

If I had a coffee table of my own, this book would have a new home.

Video: Kanye West Feat. Big Sean x Pusha T x 2 Chainz ‘Mercy’

Kanye, while currently on the his “Watch The Throne” European tour, refocuses efforts on his GOOD Music collective. With the release of ‘Mercy’ produced by Lifted, the first release from the camps compilation effort ‘Cruel Summer’.

Directed by Nabil Elderkin who’s previous efforts include Frank Ocean’s ‘Novacane’. The 5 minute video features cameos from fellow GOOD Music artists Kid Cudi, CyHi the Prynce and Teyana Taylor.

With rap taking a return to the ‘crew’ release, including Rick Ross’s ‘Maybach Music Group’ and Wiz Khalifa’s ‘Taylor Gang’ this is definitely a strong contender from a talented roster. (Anyone remember Harlem World?)

Video: Kanye West x Jay-Z ‘No Church In The Wild’

Echoing the duos previous clip for ‘Run This Town’ but with a finnish and grit lacking from their 2009 effort. “No Church’ drops you in a political riot with unknown undertones creating with a high level of realism, tension and dynamics in less that 4 mins.
