Nudie Jeans Opens UK Repair Store

Nudie Jeans Opens UK Repair Store

I’ve worked with a few denim brands in my time, but I’m not quite ready to take that step and vouch that I am a denim purist. I like to wash my jeans, I’m too fussed about Selvedge, my preferred cut is a bit too skinny and with a pretty short attention span, I’ve never worn one pair long enough to develop that ‘just right’ worn out bleed.

Saying that, I’m a massive Nudie fan and so was very pleased to hear of UK’s debut store and the world’s first Nudie Repair Station, opening in Soho, London.  Read More.

VERSUS VERSACE: A New Phase

VERSUS VERSACE: A New Phase

For the past couple of weeks I have been working alongside a few talented folk from London, Milan and New York on the relaunch of Versus. The provocative and rebellious clothing line from Donatella Versace. Now this it has wrapped (we launched May 15th New York – with a killer party and fashion show, featuring Angel Haze, Dead Sara, Grimes and the collaboration capsule from J.W Anderson) I had the time to share a few shots fromt the event a build up. Definitely a trip to remember.  Read More.

Converse ‘Well Worn’ Collection: Chuck Taylors with experience

Converse ‘Well Worn’ Collection: Chuck Taylors with experience

Chuck Taylors are like an extra phone charger, practical, functional and good to have around in a jam. Saying that, I like mine to be in a certain state – either box fresh ‘virgins’ or worn in with some ‘life experience’ thrown in for good measure, with the later often taking longer than I would like. The release of the Well Worn Chuck Taylor collection sees Converse have finding a fresh solution to this ever so difficult dilemma. Read More.

Saucony Grid 9000 Navy + Citron

Saucony Grid 9000 Navy + Citron

Saucony dropped a few gems recently in the form of their spring colourways for the Grid 9000. With the Navy and Citron offer being the highlight for me. Neon flashs among a navy base of nubuck and mesh! nice. The popular, yet stupidly forgotten by me, shoe features the ‘grid’ cushion sole – a patented product highlight, adding a to the shoes perormance, outside of the visual.

Urban Industry SELECTED Issue 001

Urban Industry SELECTED Issue 001

The eCommerce grind has stepped UP! With each site producing more editorial content than a regator site can handle, online stores such as Mr Porter (and the soon to be reconnned with Matches… apparently) feature Journalist rosters that would have GQ crossing their t’s and dotting their i’s. Let alone the blog juggernaut that is Hybebeast blurring the lines between magazine and retailer. Its all getting rather mean on these eStreets.

Not to be left the starting blocks Urban Industry have launched their SELECTED series, an informed streetwear guide and lookbook. Featuring their favourite pecies from their vast offer, each selected and considered.

“Take My Picture” Garage Magazine Investigate Streetstyle Photography

“Take My Picture” Garage Magazine Investigate Streetstyle Photography

Streetstyle – Love it or hate it,  has become the formidable force within the fashion industry today. Creating books, jobs and personalties. I, for what its worth, pretty much look at it as an opportunity, for those with a sense of style to ger their wanted attention and hustle on throughout the blogosphere. However, regardless working in this industry, my take on fashion has always been rather laid back in comparison to what I like to call the ‘Grandmaster Editors’ Some of which has been pretty vocal about the spectacle of street style. Commenting on the influence of bloggers and the shift in prorities – whos watching the runway when everyone is outside posing?

With many arguments flying around, Garage Magazine have made a film entitled called “Take My Picture” which raises some pretty valid points regarding the hype surrounding Streetstyle. I’m going to bow out of this one, being snapped once or twice without any complaints. But I will say Tim Blanks is the man! Click to watch. Read More.
